WOOD & IRON - PALO ALTO RESIDENCE
For this project the designer wanted a highly customized unit that evoked the charm of the Tuscan farmhouse, so the choice fell on distressed chestnut for the exterior windows and doors.
The hardware was a custom-made cermone visible hardware, and other forged iron pieces handmade in the Umbria region in Italy.
With a desire for more privacy, internal split shutters were included and the final installed units had external shutters as well for a more authentic look.
Interior doors were also produced using old world methodology.
