Corralitos residence

This single family home, designed by Aldo Andreoli and executed by Louie Lou Architects, with Howerton Construction, is set on the hills overlooking Monterey Bay in Northern California. The design called for a warm color powder-coated steel that worked both with the plaster and stone exterior as well as the interior. The design, inspired by Aldo’s Italian heritage, is one of the various units that form a village. The project incorporated numerous energy efficient ideas, including a “passive-solar” orientation and high thermal insulation. CoorItalia supplied multiple lift and slide units (both pocket and corner units) with pocket screens, fixed windows and motorized hopper units.
